decked the walls.
(we were on a budget)
Highway 1 spooled 
across time.  Motel 
sheets served more 
than one purpose.

Luxury's an afterthought.   
The only thing better
than seven on the 
richter scale was
you swimming in 
Russian River red;
me, extra dry.

  1. I don't know why this reminds me of that pool scene in Norma Jean and Marilyn where she swears to a beautiful boy that she'll make it big one day.
