July Heat Wave

98.6 and rising

through
our valleys
a summer
heatwave rises
along the
curves of
your forest,

my thirst
quenched by
rivers on
your
skin.

  5. nice sensual writing rick! i'm just off my bike after a there and back to cobourg - sixty three kms each way. i lost two and a bit pounds on the ride. the sweat dropped like a leaky tap off my chin. i looked at one of my water bottles and noticed a film of algae on the bottom. i chose to sweat a little longer and licked the salt off my hand!! steven

  6. Yes, very sensuous thought. So hot here that sensuous thoughts are driven away... too hot to touch! Your 98 degree days are numbered... at least 2 more months here; don't you remember the Texas heat?
