Magpie Tales Photo Prompt 66: On Walden,Books, And Technology

from forest to eReader

wisdoms rote
from nature
through the
sage of simplicity

sit
leather bound
between lost
worlds' words

and inklings
of today's
reflections of
ignorance.

  3. Rick, per usual, you ride the
    whirlwind on a scant wisp
of words, and only the ripest
    fruit touches the page.
    I love the lines:
    /sit/leather bound/between lost/
    world's words/.
Puts me in mind of Edgar Rice
    Burroughs and the paintings
of Frank Frazetta, flights of fancy
that begin as words, and become
    paper planes that float forever
on the hot breath of our imagination.

  7. Strong piece - lends itself to antiquity and present with finely chosen circles.

  8. Nicely done, Rick. "from forest to eReader" what a concept & almost unimaginable.

  9. I think we will always be ignorant of somethings; knowledgeable of some. Perhaps; that's just the way it is.

Cheers Rick =) Say hi to your Presbyterian minister. I would love to meet him. Or you, for that matter.
