Magpie Tales Photo Prompt 52

old(er) house

across the road your hearth
seemed to peek around branches,
leaning in for a better view.

a head of white belies your
desire for summer's heat,
a barren tree the obstacle
to living free.

  2. I like your positioning of the barren tree here, Rick. I had several shots of various angles, but liked the way the tree was off-centered, in this one, blocking the door.

  3. not quite sure of the meaning but I like it. I think of nature and how it keeps changing and perhaps waiting for us to change as well.

  7. I love this, Rick. The branches leaning in for a better view and the head of white makes me take a closer look and yes, you are right! :) Well done!http://judyidliketosay.blogspot.com/2011/02/my-grandparents-live-in-elongated.html

  9. I love that the house is so much itself..if it had a soul, it would be rather detached...
