Magpie Tales 170: On Eons and Ego
ego
(skipping stones)
a delicate
stone's thrown,
water torn,
my attention
bruised
but more:
my core and
afterthought
of these:
the ocean, lake,
river, pond are
water-rounded
moments told
complete
of eons'
raptured
smooth deceit.

Magpie Tales 169: Answers Blowin' in the Wind?
seed
resilience
is played
on the wind
(odds for belief
unnecessary)
our artificial
view gives no
consideration
to exquisite
creations of
immortality.

Magpie Tales 168: Looking Back, Looking
redress
long ago, even, it wasn't our style
to dress the part, but we did.
ageist, sexist, applied hotness with swagger
(so bloody pointless)
ultimately, naked happened; it happened
and ended in dismissive pall,
and waiting for a cab was about as couture
as it got, arms outstretched to hail our
suave superiority.

In A Quiet Moment, Flashback...
intangible
(For Pak Keen 14 years beyond....)
scripted could not
have prepared reason,
for in your dying
there was none,
at least for subtle
minds collecting
thoughts -
collections we cannot
see, nor touch,
nor barter for
tangible worth:
that, I assume,
comes eventually
through my own.

Poem For Then, Now. Hopefully Tomorrow.
then
years are full.
we, too, become so.
beneath nature's
facade
and those structured,
we gather one another
as bundles hidden
in attics;
under socks
in drawers;
at bottoms of closets;
in open fields of
now;
reminiscing.
