of every passing

we are
fire and ash,
water and stone,
flowers and earth.

we are
sons daughters
mothers fathers

of every
passing and ascent

of night to
day.

  1. I like that -
    "fire and ash,
    water and stone,
    flowers and earth."

  2. Rick: This reads quite well when read aloud, the rhyhm bouncing like a ball. I love how the elements transform into beings and time is structured generationally. A very magical poem.
