January Poised
mid-winter waiting
forest is the snow now.
spine, bone and outline
are silhouette against nature.
what is living I see as dead,
faithfully waiting against
changes fathomed, unseen.
my footsteps shatter silence
on delicate flakes of ice. I'll
wake the darkness for sunrise.

Step Aside

"We walk across, toward,
over or through seasons
with little thought.
Take time to step aside
and see where you are."

Clinging To The Past
"When sunlight strikes
at just the right angle,
the past can be seen
clinging to the day."

Port Of Call

journey
religiosity is
manifest
as
movement felt,
heard,
witnessed;
curiosity
questions from
where to where.
stand firm,
hands upward.
shed all
temporal
residue of life.
the sky
consumes
extent views
of faith:
I watch
as a prayer,
my eye
trusting one
point of
light.

Barnstorming Western New York
Barns have stories and lifetimes to tell. Here are a few I've met during the past couple of weeks.
The first six of these photos were taken today, but all have been taken between Kendall, NY to the west of Rochester and Pultneyville, NY to the east near the shores of Lake Ontario.

There's no fear
