one silhouette
sitting benched
I thought
was you;
abandoning reason,
my beeline
to speak
found a
stranger's eyes
stinging my face
with
curious
anticipation.

ReplyDeleteunderpinnings of sadness and disappointment...very nice
Such honest and real emotion in this piece, Rick. I love it, every word was a delight to read :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent piece, Rick! Love the 'bee line' greeted by the 'stinging.'
