a black umbrella
shields my head
and smugly I ignore
water soaked feet
holding me cold
on the road to
living
free.

At what price freedom -- worth the walk...
ReplyDeleteLove the visual image of the very large black umbrella it makes a strong statement. Most of what we suffer is self imposed for in reality very few things belong to us. and others can keep us in bondage by adding to and indulging us...
wonderfully written...

All I can say is
ReplyDeleteI LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!
ah..what a poet sees!
Joanny... at some point we should just toss the brolly and walk in the rain without care! Easier said than done, though.
ReplyDeleteSuz... Thank you again!
Love that comment -- toss the brolly -- and yes let's sing in the rain ---
