mannequin me
incomplete
yearnings, lust
moulded in
memory windows
of my vision,
left naked
by designers
and imitators
of desire.

sat bronze-like,
statuesque as

dilemmas
I've known
nice people,
read the
postings of
their wares; I've
felt the talisman
nails of history
on telephone
poles; I've
seen
the culture
of clashings
written and
painted on
street signs; I've
listened
to truth,
and
written bad
poetry.

In the second photo, it's really striking how the stripes on the window make her head disappear.
ReplyDeleteI love this collection of 3 poems. I'm curious where these photos were taken. The third photo is especially amusing, as it refers to poetry! I like how the form of your third poem imitates the street pole as well (and this one isn't bad poetry, imho).
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic. Enigma is my favorite out of the three. Not only is it a great photo but it has numerous opportunities. Also, I don't think you've ever written bad poetry, for I am your biggest fan:-)
ReplyDeleteNice trio, Rick. The first one is my favorite. Great images, to accompany.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! Your poems are right on the money!
